Everybody loves BLUE! I have 2 mugs and a tumbler in this show at Companion Gallery.
Material Mugs is an annual survey of contemporary ceramic drinking vessels exploring the effects of a particular metal. This year we will be exploring the many faces of COBALT in ceramics. The exhibition is open to every type of clay, temperature, and atmosphere, provided that cobalt is used. While we are expecting a fair amount of blue, keep in mind that many other colors are possible with cobalt. Other colorants are welcome in addition to cobalt. Colored clay, slip, terra sigilatta, underglaze are all welcome. Open to drinking vessels (cups, coffee mugs, wine goblets, yunomi, teabowls, beer steins, tumblers, etc.)
