The Clay Studio of Philadelphia celebrates the 15th anniversary of our annual Small Favors exhibition. The show engages artists' creativity in new and exciting ways with the challenge of making pieces on a very small scale. For some their Small Favor is similar to what they normally make on a reduced scale. Others use it as an opportunity to explore new ideas or collaborate with a colleague. Though small in scale, the artworks created for this exhibition are huge in impact.
To celebrate the 15th edition of Small Favors, and to reflect the generous spirit of the ceramics art community, we have expanded the call to include artists working in all forms of media. We look forward to the boundary crossing inspiration that is sure to ensue.
Leila Cartier, Executive Director of Craft NOW Philadelphia has agreed to act as our Guest Juror for this special edition of Small Favors. Craft NOW Philadelphia unites organizations to promote the historic and contemporary role of the city in the fields of craft and making.
